About Us: About the Practice

The Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center uses a sports medicine approach to get you back to an active lifestyle as quickly as possible. We treat a wide variety of orthopaedic problems in patients of all ages, from pediatric injuries on the playground to arthritis in older adults. We offer appointments for fractures within 2 business days.

We provide both non-operative and operative treatments. Most orthopaedic problems can be successfully treated without surgery. We often prescribe medications, injections (steroid or viscosupplementation), or an exercise program. Physical therapy can decrease pain and increase strength and function, and we frequently refer patients to a skilled local physical therapist for treatment of their orthopaedic injury. If you do require surgery, we will spend time with you to explain the procedure and the rehabilitation that will be required afterward. We will do everything possible ensure a smooth recovery.

Our mission is to provide personalized, high quality orthopaedic care close to home with offices in St. Marys/ Kingsland, Georgia and Amelia Island/ Fernandina Beach, Florida. You don’t need to travel to Jacksonville for high quality care by a Mayo Clinic-trained orthopaedic surgeon who cares about you.
